A daily relationship between Guy Coquoz and musicians playing on period instruments has allowed him to understand their needs and enabled him to create a complete range of plain gut and silver- covered gut strings for violin, viola, cello, basse de violon, and for the whole viola da gamba family.
LA FOLIA® gut strings have been elaborated by Guy Coquoz with a prominent Italian string maker, who have worked together to recover the ancient art of traditional sheep-gut string making.
